Privacy Policy

Tadka Play (tadkaplay.com) is a collection of free, browser-based party games. We keep privacy simple: there are no accounts, and we don't sell your data. This page explains what we collect and why.

What we collect

The name and avatar you choose. When you join a game you pick a display name and an avatar (an emoji and a colour). These are shown to the other players in your game room so everyone can see who's playing. They are held only in our server's memory for the duration of that game and are discarded when the game ends or the room closes — we do not save them to any database.

Saved on your device. So you can rejoin after a refresh or a dropped connection, we store your chosen name, avatar, and a temporary player id in your browser's localStorage. This stays on your device and is only sent to the game you're joining.

Analytics. We use Google Analytics (GA4) to understand how the games are used — for example how many games start and which are popular. Google Analytics uses cookies and collects standard information such as your approximate location (derived from your IP address, which Google does not share with us in full), device and browser type, pages visited, and in-app events (such as a game starting). We attach two non-identifying labels to those events: which game, and whether you're on the host screen or a phone. We do not use any of this to identify you personally. What we do not collect

• No account, email, phone number, or password.
• No payment information.
• No long-term storage of your name, avatar, or gameplay.

Cookies

Google Analytics sets cookies/identifiers to measure usage. You can block cookies in your browser settings or install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

Children

Tadka Play is a general-audience party game and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy at any time. When we do, we'll change the "Last updated" date above. Your continued use of Tadka Play after changes are posted means you accept the updated policy.

Tadka Play is a free hobby project, run on a best-effort basis. This page is written in plain English and in good faith — it is not formal legal advice. We do our best to be upfront about what we collect and to keep it minimal, but if you're not comfortable with any of it, please don't use the site.
